Just Us! Coffee Roasters Co-Op is located in Grand Pre Nova Scotia. They are Canada's first fair trade and organic coffee roaster centred around social and environmental justice, aiming to promote an alternative to an exploitative global trade that favours white, western cultures.
They promote a system of trade that stands for fair prices and practices, equity and inclusion, environmental stewardship, democratic control, and the building of communities and individual capacity.
They select the finest 100% arabica green beans from democratically-run, certified fair trade and organic cooperatives.
Where do Miner's Mud beans come from?
Our beans are from Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (OCFCU) a small farmers owned cooperative union in Ethiopia.
Once the beans are in Grand-Pre, all beans are roasted to order in their antique, German-manufactured roasters and are shipped west same day.
SUGAR MOON FARM
Sugar Moon Farm (est 1996) is a family-owned maple syrup farm and restaurant in northern Nova Scotia. Open year round, Sugar Moon crafts maple syrup over a wood fire and serves maple-inspired food in a manner that supports local agriculture and community and respects land and water.
Kalina grew up on the farm immersed in the family business. You'll find Sugar Moon maple syrup and its signature "Sugar Moon Coffee" on the Miner's Mud menu as a tribute to Kalina's Nova Scotia home.
